The Canada Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is the regulatory watchdog for the food industry in Canada. Their regional head office in Calgary needed to help to repair the damage from years of salt corrosion on their loading dock area. They were not sure the sidewalk could be saved.
Acrylicon Alberta repaired some of the sidewalk using a concrete patch system. However, the door exit and stairs were coated with Acrylicon Decor as part of the Acrylicon Test Patch program.
Brad Derwent of the CFIA said that if he knew how good this system was, he would have coated the entire project with Acrylicon Decor.
This outside installation was a test to determine Acrylicon's viability for flooring for one of its lab areas. Stay tuned!
