The Arylicon Lacquer System is a pigmented, mono-colour painting system, based on solvent free, non yellowing, low viscosity, 2 component Methacrylate Resin.
The Lacquer System is based on our unique sealer 1071M, which has a very high abrasion resistance. Our references prove that this is a paint system that gives a lasting solution for the problems that often occur when using conventional flooring systems such as binding, abrasion and delamination.
The Lacquer System is suitable for pedestrian areas, like shops, basements and light impact truck traffic in storage rooms etc. The Lacquer System can also be used as a non-pigmented dust binder and provides a very good "wear safe" solution. It also gives the floor an excellent pre-treatment for surface re-sealing, repairs or further applications of other Acrylicon Systems.
The Lacquer System has a very short curing time and can be fully loaded after only 1-2 hours when installed during normal temperatures and weather conditions. The installation of the system is carried out with rollers enabling large areas to be completed quickly and easily. Combined with the short curing time, this keeps the shut down time of the floor to a minimum.
The substrate preparation is done by Diamond Cutter and Blasting of the concrete.

MMA monomer is produced as a raw chemical to which further monomer and polymers are added to create the required resin.
This resin in the case of flooring will need plasticisers to assist the control of shrinkage and these may be added internally or externally dependant upon the production company and their chemical skills. However the finished products will not have been constructed in the same way, and therefore will possess different properties. Each of the companies will have their own method and mixing ratios with aggregates to provide the final system.
The situation with AcryliCon is that our main market is the Food Industry and as such the AcryliCon resins have been further developed specifically for that market and as such the chemical construction of the system is our trade secret. Continual washing with water (hot or cold), will wash out the plasticisers in other standard MMA's, which is why they have such a poor record in the food industry and their working life in a wet environment can be as little as 2 years.
Standard MMA systems have been around for over thirty years and therefore our competitors should be able to show many references over 5 years old, generally they will not. This is NOT because of bad installation or laying, it is the specific problem of standard MMA which cannot demonstrate longevity.
We have addressed this problem and the AcryliCon System is unique in its construction, performance and longevity.
The proof of our statements is not in the rhetoric of our letters and comments but in the list of our clients and the longevity of floors we have installed. We are always willing to show the oldest references we have (in the UK from 1994 and in Norway from 1977) as an indicator of their quality and performance.
We trust we have answered in some way the differences between the AcryliCon System and other MMA systems, but ultimately it is the performance in the "real world" where the differences are so obviously apparent.

The AcryliCon Flake System is 2 mm to 3 mm thick and contains decorative flakes within its chemically bonded coating system.
The unparalleled long-lasting system is aesthetically versatile and primarily designed for heavy foot traffic and moderate industrial environments. By using our unique granito blends of color flakes, we are able to provide granite or marble style floors in a fraction of the time normally associated with the traditional systems.
The Flake System is the best solution for supermarkets, shopping centers, retail, hospitals, stadiums, schools, mass-transit and bathrooms.

The Acrylicon Granito System is a 2-3mm system for light industry and heavy foot traffic. With its very high abrasion resistance it is especially suited to areas of heavy foot fall. Blended flakes are used in the body coat, and are based on natural Granit colours.
The Granito system is rake and roller applied allowing for fast installation, which coupled with the quick cure time allows for large areas to be completed in very short times - up to 1000m per day with the floor back in use 2 hours afterwards!
The Acrylicon Flake/Granito System can also be offered with Microban Antibacterial Protection. Read more about AcryliCon with Microban under the section "Microban".

The AcryliCon Variant System is an industrial grade, mono-color self-leveling system which can be installed with or without scattered (sparse) flakes.
The thickness of the floor may vary from 1mm to 3mm depending on the level of impact resistance required by the customer. The Variant System has a compressive strength of 98N/mm (14,200 psi) and is extremely easy to clean even with heavy traffic.
The slip resistance can be adjusted based on the customer’s needs and specified regulations.
The Variant System is the best solution for parking garages, automotive service centers, paper processing, stadiums, conference centers, pharmaceutical industry, laboratories, hospitals, power plants, schools and hangars.

The AcryliCon Décor System is a colour-quartz filled, trowel applied coating with extraordinary performance that is ideal for wet or heavily abraded areas where hygiene and cleanliness are required.
Not only does this innovative monolithic system have excellent slip resistance values, longevity and cleanability, but it also provides minimal facility downtime due to its 2-hour curing process. With AcryliCon’s unique ability to chemically bond to itself, the optional coved skirting is completely seamless with the floor.
The AcryliCon Décor System is the best solution for interior and exterior wet environments such as food/beverage processing, commercial kitchens, automotive, transportation platforms and industrial areas with heavy traffic and high compressive strength needs.
The Decor System has very high compressive strength, very high bending and tensile strength and a very high resistance to ageing. Due to the Chemical properties of the Acrylicon resins, each layer (primer, body coat and seal coat) chemically bond together rather than mechanically. This leaves no chance of delamination between layers, or from the concrete.

All floors wear, some faster than others. Floors laid in industrial environments are often subjected to extremes in terms of wear and tear. Truck damage, impacts from heavy objects, friction, abrasion and chemical attacks are common in many industries.
Acrylicon has qualities that deliver long-term durability, no matter where the floor is installed. Our customers vouch for that.

Acrylicon is extremely resistant to chemicals, detergents, oil, liquids and other spillages. If refurbishments or repairs become necessary, Acrylicon's unique chemical bonding properties mean that old and new Acrylicon coatings fuse together to create a new compact and monolithic surface, without risking delamination or the need to remove the old with all the attendant dust, noise and disruption associated with conventional systems. Even after years of wear and tear.
Tougher and longer lasting
Acrylicon's properties equip it to deliver long-term durability in the harshest of industrial environments and important cost-saving longevity. An Acrylicon floor will have lasted longer than conventional industrial flooring systems because of it's high compressive strength, resistance to wear and slip and exceptional performance in adverse conditions.
When it comes to specifying flooring for heavy industrial applications it is vital to weigh up the potential costs of down-time if the toughest and most durable solution isn't used. When it comes to industrial flooring Acrylicon is demonstratably tougher, longer lasting and the most cost-effective option.
Colours that create a sense of well-being
Acrylicon is available in a wide range of colours to meet any requirements. Different areas can have different colours and therefore colour coding for traffic areas is available to improve traffic ergonomics. Acrylicon has shown an extreme resistance to ageing and discolouration due to UV attack. This ensures that the aesthetic qualities of the floor are guaranteed for the long term. In many work areas safety is an important issue, and slip-resistance is a necessity. The Acrylicon surface can be provided with a variety of slip resistance textures to suit most environments.
Acrylicon with Microban protection inhibits the growth of microbes
Microban technology is an has undergone extensive independent laboratory testing and has a long history of safe use. It is registered with the EPA for all applications in which it is used. Microban additives can be found in the products of leading consumer and industrial brands around the world.
Food Processing Magazine awarded Microban protection the prize for Food Hygiene in 1998. Microban protection is not a substitute for normal cleaning practices and is not designed to protect users against disease carrying organisms. Microban technology provides continuous antimicrobial protection against bacteria, mould and mildew that can cause stains, odours and product deterioration for the life of the floor. Microban protection will not wash off or wear away. Acrylicon with Microban protection is the perfect floor for the food processing industry.
