Deans Foods - Spartanburg, South Carolina
At various Dean Food plants across the US, numerous problems with their current flooring solutions have been discovered. Due to the harsh, wet and cold environments in many of the plants, Deans was never able to find success with any type of resinous flooring.
They could not find a product that would not only adhere to the flooring substrate, but they were also unable to find a product that could meet their unique time constraints. In most of the Dean’s plants, there is a 24 hour window available to complete a flooring installation. Dean’s was also experiencing problems with the texture of the floor wearing away very quickly due to excessive wash downs, high traffic and the heavy equipment that would run across it daily.
Since committing to a flooring contract with Acrylicon, Dean’s has been able to address and solve many of the flooring issues in many of their US plants. Using the Acrylicon Décor System with a high slip resistant texture, Dean’s is not only able to have their flooring installed and complete within their 24 hour time constraint, but they have also noticed a much greater adhesion substrate. They have also taken great notice to the huge improvement in cleanliness of the areas where the Acrylicon Décor system has been installed over areas where conventional resins have been used.
