Frederikke - University in Oslo
A typical industrial floor has to withstand heavy impact. Our floor is washed with hot water every day and heavy jack trolleys are working on the floor at all times
“ The chefs at Fredrikke’s kitchen (at the University in Oslo) are very proud of their floor. It is not exactly pretty, but extremely durable. A typical industrial floor has to withstand heavy impact. Our floor is washed with hot water every day and heavy jack trolleys are working on the floor at all times. I honestly do not believe any other floors have the same quality as Acrylicon. The floor is very easy to clean and there are no tyre marks or colour differences in areas with heavy traffic loads, even if the floor is over 15 years old. (Fredrikke has 1200 sq.metres, which was installed back in 1985). It is in the same condition now as it was (unused) 15 years ago.
The floor was very expensive, but I am convinced that we would make the same choice today. In addition to the qualities, we would also make the same choice because of the very professional service and information backup that we received during the work.
Acrylicon is also rather special, in respect of the remarkable smell during the installation. The premises should be entirely empty with regards to people.
Is it maybe that smelling so bad it gives the best results in the end?
Acrylicon gets rid of its fumes and other disadvantages in the laying process and produces a perfect, stable floor which does not have any migrations of any kind once the curing process is finished.
I do have major reservations with regards to floors that do not smell during the laying process, but which have migration of hazardous fumes and gases for years to come.”
