Lerum Fabrikker, Kaupanger

Acrylicon have given us the ultimate service with very little shut down time for our production

"At Lerum Fabrikker, we decided to have an AcryliCon floor in 1992, and the same again when we extended our existing buildings in 1993 up to 1999. Totally 8000 sq.metres of AcryliCon has been installed and we have only good experiences with the floor. The floors are functioning very satisfactory, even if they are exposed to huge impact of truck driving and other ¡§rolling¡¨ traffic.
In our factory we produce juice, soft drinks, beer and mineral water and the floors are cleaned daily with steam (100„aC), hot water and chemicals. When we considered Acrylicon in 1992/93, we were sceptic as someone told us that the floor did not resist hot water over 70oC. This has not been the fact. After seven years in production there are some minor colour differences on the floor and the floor is as easy to clean and maintain as ever.
So far there has been no need for repairs caused by damage or wear. The repairs that have been requested are due to changes in the plan structure of the building over the years. This has been easily done and the Acrylicon suppliers have given us the up most service with very little shut down time for our production.
Lerum Fabrikker chose AcryliCon based on a long list of references and visits to other factories, among those also within the fish industry.
We have had some earlier experiences with other resins in other factories. These floors have shown, over time, with the mentioned use, to become hard, porous and with a tendency to delaminate from the sub-floor, little by little.
