At Molde Airport, we have Acrylicon floors in our airport Rescue- and Fire Unit, garage and workshop. We have chosen Acrylicon Decor System for both the tracks and floors.
Acrylicon Decor System was chosen because we required a slip resistant floor in all our areas.
We had the Acrylicon floor installed in 2006, and it is just as good and solid today, no damage to the floors have been detected.
In the workshop we maintain heavy vehicles, such as wheel loaders, trucks with snow sweeper equipment, etc.. These vehicles has a weight of about 15-28 tons each.
The trucks and most of the other vehicles does also have snow chains on in winter season, but the floor can withstand it!
We have a routine to clean the floor once a week, or more often if there is a lot of dirt, oil, etc.. on the floor. With this routine we have excellent control of the condition of the floors, and if any damage should occure.
We have three fire trucks running in and out several times a day from our Rescue- and Fire Unit. Despite the frequent traffic of heavy vehicles, there is no damage to the floor. In this heavily trafficked zone, it is very important to have a slip resistant surface of the floor, as there are heavy running in an emergenzy situation. This is also the zone where the cleaning, rinsing and maintenance of the vehicles take place, so we have had a very strong focus on all safety issues when choosing our Acrylicon floor. Our earlier experience is that other floor gets very slippery, which is unacceptable in our working environment.
Naturally we are all very pleased with our Acrylicon floor.
